| Background and Description | ||||
| For over 30 years the Academy has offered the Roving Symposia Program. Roving Symposia are programs approved for Category 1 CME, one hour in length, presented at selected sites throughout New Jersey and the U.S. and administered by the Academy. These educational programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of physicians, dentists, and health care professionals as indicated by their in-house needs assessment. | ||||
| Requesting hospitals must complete and identify needs for CME activities through the Justification for Roving Symposia Selections on the Request Form. The Academy coordinates and confirms scheduling of each program with your CME office. The Academy arranges for the speaker, based on your topic selection and objectives, pays the honorarium, and provides statewide publicity through various Academy channels. These programs are also included each month in the CME section of the MSNJ Journal, New Jersey Medicine. | ||||
| The speakers are usually Academy Fellows and are members of our statewide Speaker's Bureau. | ||||
| Roving Symposia are designated Category 1 activities and apply toward fulfillment of requirements set forth by the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. | ||||

In addition, please remember to list your area(s) of expertise and any suggestions for new topics. Also, if you are listed in our Speaker's Bureau, you may update your topics and academic/hospital titles by completing the Speaker's Bureau Application. |
