| OBJECTIVES |
| Upon completion of
this activity, the physician shall be able to: |
- Discuss the epidemiology of
perinatal HIV infection in New Jersey
- Identify risk factors and
prevention of maternal-infant transmission of HIV
- Discuss the current epidemiology
of HIV infection in children.
- Discuss the natural history of
pediatric HIV infection and the recommended procedures for initiating antiretroviral
therapy in HIV-infected infants.
